Tasty Night Out Chicago: Tocco In Wicker Park
There is nothing like enjoying fresh Italian in a modern, sexy space. Chef Bruno Abate is as authentically Italian as his food; he has lived and tasted his way across Italy. After taking a bite of crusty bread topped with burrata (a fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream) I knew Chef was about to hit us with some real deal dishes from his homeland (thank God, as several trips to Italy has turned my palate into a real diva). It was cool to have access to some yummy Italian goodness without having to use my frequent flier miles.

Then he crowns it with all kinds of fresh goodness. Notice how each segment has its own topping? TREND ALERT: Chef says this is the new hotness in pizza – especially for parties.
They use over 60 kinds of pasta from Italy; check out the ravioli di zucca (homemade ravioli filled with ricotta and butternut squash sautéed with brown butter and sage).
The Tridentum Brut Rosé was the perfect sparking for my meal (fruity aroma, refreshing).
